Founded by Amani Shroff

A Million Butterflies (a registered 501(c3) not-for-profit charitable organization) is a marketplace for millions of women creators from countries such as India, Kenya, and Philippines, giving them access to fans and patrons globally. We want to give them global reach through marketing and pricing leverage. Helping them get more customers, and greater value for their art and creations. All additional proceeds are donated to women’s causes.

With all of our orders, we send a complimentary piece of poetry from a South Asian women to help highlight their work and the story of these women behind the handicrafts to spread awareness. All of our revenue goes back to helping women across the world.

“You could not remove a single grain of sand from its place without thereby … changing something throughout all parts of the immeasurable whole.” — Fichte

The butterfly effect states that small changes can lead to amazing and great outcomes. One butterfly fluttering its wings in one part of the world can affect the weather in another part. At A Million Butterflies, we want to harness the power of millions of people from across the world and bring a positive change for women creators from under-privileged backgrounds. More women empowerment creates stronger families leading to brighter futures.

Over $35,000 of goods sold. 100% of profits donated to worthy women’s causes.
